STOP Skill Reference Sheet

The STOP skill is one of my absolute favourites.


It was one of the first skills I learnt and worked to put into action when I was in my first distress tolerance DBT group.


Taking that moment to "hit the pause button" before reacting makes all the difference in how to respond. It allows you to go from emotional mind where you might say something you instantly regret to a more logical effective response that you feel better about.


Both the coloured version and the greyscale version are included in the download so you can decide which works best for you.
